Capture Modes
Default shortcuts match macOS (remappable; FoxSnip can take over ⇧⌘3/4/5). See Keyboard shortcuts.
- Default ⇧⌘4.
- Shift locks aspect ratio; Space moves the rect; arrow keys nudge 1px.
- Type Chinese text inside the dimmed overlay (overlay itself is excluded from the shot).
- Tiny selections reposition the pause menu so it does not cover the toolbar.
- If the overlay closes abnormally, global hotkeys keep working.
Releasing the mouse enters pause with toolbar and copy/save/upload. See Selection bar.
Full screen
Section titled “Full screen”- Default ⇧⌘3; multi-display handled per screen; UI appears on the display where you captured.
Window
Section titled “Window”- Default ⇧⌘5.
- Highlight tracks the window you will capture when moving from large to small windows.
- Skips Dock-style raised transparent layers.
- Shift + click: control pick (Accessibility); scroll wheel for parent/child controls.
Previous area
Section titled “Previous area”- Default ⇧⌘6 — same rectangle as last time (great for before/after or polling).
Scrolling capture
Section titled “Scrolling capture”- Default ⇧⌥⌘4 (Plus / Pro).
- Select a scrollable region; stitches downward until the end; horizontal direction optional in settings.

OCR shortcut
Section titled “OCR shortcut”- Default ⇧⌘2 — box select then text recognition flow.
Other entry points
Section titled “Other entry points”- Fixed size before dragging.
- Countdown capture (Plus / Pro).
- Hide desktop clutter when shooting (Plus / Pro).
- Include cursor (Plus / Pro).
- Capture FoxSnip itself: include OCR result windows in the shot; selection chrome still excluded.
After capture
Section titled “After capture”Configure default behavior in settings: Quick Access overlay, copy, save, or annotate. URL action= can override (copy, save, annotate, pin).
