Selection Bar
After area capture, FoxSnip pauses so you can annotate before copy or save — no trip to the full editor required.
Pause menu
Section titled “Pause menu”- OCR expands to text, table, formula, chemistry (cloud entries roll out over time; local OCR in OCR, translate & QR).
- Pin (Plus / Pro).
- Shortcuts: ⇧C OCR copy (configurable), ⌘2 Pin (configurable).
Toolbar under the selection
Section titled “Toolbar under the selection”Rough groups left to right:
- Edit, color
- Select; arrow, rectangle, ellipse, polygon (fill variants)
- Highlight, spotlight, magnifier, mosaic (texture popover: classic, dots, stripes, frosted, brick, solid, soft blur, security blur, …)
- Text, counter, brush
- Camera → region recording (N)
- Undo / redo
- Close, copy, save, upload (U, Pro / team)
Behavior
Section titled “Behavior”- Single-letter tool switching (same as full editor).
- Arrows: bend via endpoints and mid control; coincident endpoints are not forced diagonal.
- Shape variants (stroke/fill, corner radius).
- Copy / save include annotations; on compose failure you still get the raw capture when possible.
Full editor
Section titled “Full editor”Edit opens annotate for 3D, watermark, .snip projects, crop, etc.
Upload UX
Section titled “Upload UX”Upload shows a spinner; click again or U to cancel. The area overlay stays until success; on failure/cancel you remain in place. See Share links.
