Settings & Presets
Open Settings from the menu bar icon or foxsnip://open-settings.
Shortcuts
Section titled “Shortcuts”- Remap area / full screen / window / previous / scrolling / OCR.
- Take over system ⇧⌘3/4/5 when conflicting.
- Pause menu: ⇧C (OCR copy), ⌘2 (Pin), etc.
Defaults: Keyboard shortcuts.
Capture behavior
Section titled “Capture behavior”- Save folder (default
~/Pictures/FoxSnip/) - Quick Access overlay and auto-close
- Apply default preset when copying (0.4.2+)
- Capture FoxSnip (OCR windows in shot)
- Include cursor, hide desktop clutter, countdown (Plus / Pro where noted)
Presets
Section titled “Presets”Background, margin, watermark, shadow under Application Support presets; switch in annotate; set default for copy.
Language
Section titled “Language”English, 简体/繁体中文, 日本語, 한국어, or follow system (0.4.0+). This guide uses Starlight’s locale switcher for EN / 简体中文.
License & updates
Section titled “License & updates”- Trial expiry → enter license; FoxSnip licenses are separate from FoxClip.
- Update checks send the FoxSnip app id.
