Permissions
FoxSnip requests permissions per feature. Missing one disables only what depends on it.
Screen Recording
Section titled “Screen Recording”For: area / window / full screen, scrolling capture, region record preview/export.
Without it: no screen pixels — capture and region record fail.
Grant: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording → FoxSnip. Restart or capture again if status is stale.
Accessibility
Section titled “Accessibility”For: Shift + control pick during window capture.
Without it: whole-window capture still works.
Input Monitoring
Section titled “Input Monitoring”For: region record pointer/keyboard HUD (Plus / Pro).
Without it: recording works; no key/mouse overlay.
Microphone & Camera
Section titled “Microphone & Camera”FoxSnip is screen-first; mic/camera are mainly for shared platform / FoxClip. Skip if unused.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”- Missing from privacy list: trigger capture or remove/re-add FoxSnip.
- Granted but not detected: quit FoxSnip fully and relaunch.
- Multi-display issues: ensure Screen Recording is granted for your local GUI session.
